SPINETTA, EL FLACO

Luís Alberto Spinetta, el genialísimo Flaco, nació el 23 de enero de 1950 en Buenos Aires y es considerado por muchos, uno de los mejores músicos latinos de la historia del rock, inició su carrera en 1968 con la banda Almendra, más adelante formó otras bandas como Pescado Rabioso, Invisible, Spinetta-Jade, Spinetta y los Socios del Desierto, manteniendo siempre ese estilo lírico y poético con influencia folclórica, sus composiciones son resultado de la fusión de géneros como el rock, blues, jazz y tango. Tiene en su haber más de treinta discos grabados junto a sus bandas y en solitario. Su último álbum, “Un Mañana” (2008), nos demuestra para felicidad de sus seguidores, que su genialidad no tiene fin. ¡¡¡LARGA VIDA AL FLACO!!!

Un homenaje bien merecido fue “AL FLACO, DALE GRACIAS”, un disco triple tributo a Luis Alberto Spinetta, que incluye más de 60 canciones (todas composiciones del Flaco) y en la que participaron varios solistas y bandas reconocidas. Fue grabado y publicado el 2007 e incluye instrumentales y poesía. Los fondos recaudados de la venta de este disco, fueron a beneficio de un comedor popular ubicado en Mar del Plata. PHANTOM LIMB

Phantom Limb fue el primer sencillo de la banda estadounidense The Shins, publicado en el 2006 e incluido en el álbum "Wincing the Night Away" del 2007. El escritor y vocalista de la banda James Mercer, describe esta canción como una historia de ficción que habla sobre una pareja de adolescente lesbianas que luchan contra los prejuicios de las personas de la pequeña ciudad en la que viven. El videoclip dirigido por Patrick Daughters, muestra la dramatización de la historia de Juana de arco y la conquista de México por los españoles, una obra actuada por la misma banda acompañada de un grupo de niños actores...
