SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY
Sir Paul McCartney, leyenda viva de la música, ha sido testigo y protagonista de las transformaciones más importantes de la historia del rock y de la música popular. Desde sus inicios como bajista y vocalista de The Beatles, su trabajo con Wings, hasta su carrera como solista, McCartney ha demostrado una gran capacidad para componer canciones e interpretarlas extraordinariamente.
Paul McCartney nació en Liverpool en 1942 y fue reconocido internacionalmente con el fenómeno de la Beatlemania; junto a los Beatles, produjo canciones que marcaron a generaciones como: “Hey Jude”, “Let It Be”, “Blackbird”, “Yesterday”, “Eleanor Rigby”, etc. Después de la separación de The Beatles, Paul fundó Wings, donde exploró nuevos sonidos creando éxitos como: “Live and Let Die”, “Band on the Run” y “Silly love songs”, etc., y como solista produjo otro tanto de discos con temas muy buenos, además, colaboró con artistas como Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, entre otros.
A parte de su música, Paul es conocido por su activismo en favor del medio ambiente, el vegetarianismo, los derechos de los animales y otras causas humanitarias. Ha recibido, además, la condecoración por parte de la Reina de Inglaterra y participó en eventos importantes de la música entre ellos: Live Aid, Nobel Peace Prize Concert, apertura de los Juegos de Londres 2012, etc.
